Photographer Kevin Russ abandoned everyday life for an epic solo road trip up and down the Pacific coast. Shooting exclusively on his iPhone and editing on VSCO Cam®, he captured wildlife, rural scenery, and the quiet, contemplative moments that define life on the road.

Kevin partnered with VSCO Artist Initiative™ to create The Western States, a beautiful 9″x12″ book full of photos he shot during his travels. Smyth Sewn with exposed binding and published by Iceland-based ODDI Printing, the book is laid out in a clean, minimalist style, and truly encapsulates the vast grandeur of the West Coast.
